Sant Antoni de Portmany, located at the west side of the Ibiza is one of the five main cities along the island. That name became official after 1986, as it was previously called "San Antonio Abad".

Being part of the Ibiza isle is one of its main attractive, as Ibiza is considered a high desired vacacional location, and a clubbing capital of the world.

The historic activity of this town was mainly fishing, just until the late 1950s, when many hotels and resorts were built as an effort of the Country to start promoting the place to be part of a tourism initiative.
Through the 1980s, the place was populated by many british football hooligans. After that, in the 1990s, Sant Antoni regain reputation as having the best clubbing places, including famous Djs, in the world.

The main and most recognizable arquitectural item of the city is the "Egg", a statue erected in the 1990s in the shape of an egg, with another statue inside it (a "Carabela", the boat of Columbus) which commemorates the birth place of Chistopher Columbus.

The west side of the city is famous for its night life, which occurs along two main streets with the main street being the "Carrer de Santa Agnes". Many small clubs and bars are located on that area.

Also in the west part of this town, are located various bars from where the visitor can see the sunset. That bars include the famous "Cafe del mar", Savannah and Café mambo.
